Three Tools You Need For Your Bonsai Garden
Think you might not be able to handle all the big work just to maintain your front or back yard? Then you might want to consider raising your own bonsai garden. A bonsai garden is not easier to take care of just because it's smaller, but you can be more creative with shaping it and taking care of all the bonsai trees and plants. The big difference is the tools that you will end up using to maintain the bonsai garden. Here is a list of some of the tools that you need to take care of your bonsai creations.
• Trimming shears – Most bonsai gardening tools can be used on other plants and flowers in a regular garden. The most important tool that you will need is trimming shears. They are not as large as the trimming shears that you use on your bushes and hedges but you can use those as well depending on how large your bonsai tree is.
Now, bonsai garden tools are notoriously known for being very expensive but there are tools that are inexpensive as well. The good thing is that bonsai gardening tools are very accessible. Trimming shears are what you will use the most when taking care of bonsai plants so make sure that you get a pair that is not too cheap and not too expensive. It is much better if you can invest in an expensive pair so that they will last longer though.
• Pliers – Strangely enough, you will also need a pair of pliers to use on your bonsai garden. This is because when you take care of a bonsai plant, you will need to so some wiring. The wiring is what will restrict the bonsai plant from growing any further than you want it too. The pliers will be used to cut up the wires. The best kind of wire to use is made of copper and copper can harden over time. This is why you should get a pair of strong pliers.
• Nozzle hose – Water is still very important to your bonsai plants but you can't hose them down with a regular hose because bonsai plants are small. What you need is to buy a nozzle that will allow for a fine spray of water. Make sure that you don't water the plants too much and that there is a proper way to drain any excess water.
These are just some of the tools that you can use for your bonsai gardens. These are the most basic and the most effective. There are also other tools that you can use but only if you are an advanced bonsai gardener. Those tools can be very expensive so choose them wisely.
But as a beginner, the aforementioned tools are all you really need to get started on your bonsai garden quest. With these tools, all you need now is to boost your creativity and imagination to create what is considered some of the greatest works of art in the world: bonsai plants and trees.
