Three Things Not To Do To Your Garden

There are a lot of things we can do in our garden. One, we can play catch or some touch football. Two, we can go stargazing on a clear night. Three, we can go camping in the back yard with our children during the weekend.

Being as numerous and fun-filled as it may be, there are actually quite a couple of things that we shouldn't be doing in the garden. That's because there are just some things that we refrain from doing or actually not doing it at all. It's not as farfetched as lighting up your house on fire or smashing up all the plates and glasses in your home however.

So, if you were a curious home owner with a whole lot of garden space in his front yard or out back, what shouldn't we be doing then?

1. Keeping it unattended and by it we mean your garden.

Your garden, surely you should know this, cannot maintain its appearance by itself. It takes a lot of work; watering, weeding, cutting, trimming, the whole kit and caboodle just so you could make your neighbors and yourself of course stare for a few seconds in awe simply admiring how beautiful your garden is.

If you want to keep that jewel of a garden the center of attraction before your guests enter your home, you should not leave that garden of yours unattended. That's because if you do, your flowers would wither away, your grass would grow out of control that it would look like your home was uninhabited for years. If you do not want something like this to happen to you, you should always think about maintaining your garden instead of pretending that it can take care of itself and cut its own lawn and pull out its own weeds.

2. Leaving gardening tools and equipment scattered all over your lawn.

If this sort of thing happens, you already know where this is going to lead to – the nearest clinic or hospital even. Why? Gardening equipment usually consists of gardening scissors, rakes and many other hazardous things when left unattended or with unqualified hands.

If you don't want to risk injury to yourself or to your loved ones, you should always keep your gardening tools in the tool shed or wherever it is you put them in so that you could avoid any accidents. You should always make it a habit of keeping everything once you're done using them regardless if you have children in your home or not.

3. Leaving weeds to grow unchecked.

Weeds are a plant's equivalent to ticks, leeches and other parasites that are unable to survive without hosts for sustenance. If you don't take the proper measures to keep weeds at bay from your garden, what you used to know as a garden full of vibrancy and color would soon come to pass since after all, weeds compete with their host plants for all the nutrition and growth it receives. This means that your plants wouldn't be able to fully grow as it should or bloom as beautifully as it ought to be.
